An opinion on Book : P.S I love You

Feelings are quite hard to explain and moreover to interpret at different points of time. Death is another strange reality which we fear to accept and move along. We want to be like a butterfly who wants to remain in our own beautiful world with our comforts. But there are more dangers that lie ahead that can break the walls of happiness that we create around us.

P.S I love you is a beautiful story written by Cecelia Ahern. A story about a girl Holly who is married to Gerry and has a perfect life a man she loves, friends and a great family with sisters and brothers to brighten up her life. Reality strikes hard when she is faced with the bitter truth of her husband brain tumor. World just came crashing down and had threatened the very walls she had build based on love and trust.

Holly was just 30 year old when Gerry died. She had given up on her life living up in a shell trying to relive every moment she had passed with her husband. On her 30th birthday she gets a surprise when she receives a brown envelope containing the letters from Gerry for every month starting from her 30th birthday.

These letters started as a guide to her new life. Every month the letter held a new surprise that kept Holly connected her to her past. He was like a person who still followed her even without physically present there.

Every month it had an agenda to guide her to a new destination. He wanted to guide her how to get her life back to track and to be open for things and people to whom she had shut her life to. A very engaging and a thoughtful story. Must read if looking for a different story with a touch of sensitivity and connection to day to day characters.

The same holds true for us in day to day life where we wait for a perfect life but what you have now is truth and a beautiful truth  which we basically fail to see the beauty and wait for brighter future.

Life is a gift which needs to be lived fully with happiness and vigor and we must thank god that we have a great life  to be able to do what we want . Yes Death is a harsh reality but if we accept it it is easier to live and forgive.
