Eyes behind the Veil that speaks thousand words- A tribute to every woman
Welcome to the world of Princess
Princess as the name suggests would attract you to the world of riches, large number of followers , a big house and everything what she desires. Ha!! You are surprised even I was when I had picked up this book. I was staring straight at the face which was on the cover and I could see just the eyes and the rest part covered by Veil
It is a story about Sultana Al Sa'ud, a princess in the royal house of Saudi Arabia. Those eyes can still can't be forgotten years after I had read the book. The story is quite engrossing and talks about the spirit of Princess how she fought back the injustice faced by her through her childhood , marriage etc. Girls married to guys bigger their age , Girls tortured for injustice that haven't committed but are victims of the same . She could afford anything but did it matter after the injustice she saw in front of her eyes.
The world could be synonymous with the golden cage where the aspirations and dreams are buried for the whims and fancies for a father then the husband and the children. The spirit cries out to every human asking for the basic right of freedom to live to dream and to do what one wants.
Still this might not be harsh in India but it is true for every woman. First she is brought up by her parents then married off. She has to live according to wish and fancies of her husband toiling hard with the household chores and raising children. She is happy when her husband is happy or her children. Every woman deserves to be respected taken care of and loved. Be it your mom , sister , wife or your girlfriend.
Princess Sultana made her life better by making sure her husband doesn't marry twice stood for her rights. she couldn't save lots of girls from being lost but she saved herself at the nick of time by fighting for her rights.
