You have to love it to hate it Come along the bylanes!!

The aroma of rosogulla , sandesh and chinar payesh , the sight of trams , the staple diet of maach bhaat and the occasional glimpses into the sights of yellow taxis and people creeping into them. What astounds one in this era of century that Kolkata still is one of the cheapest cities in India where metro prices are as low as Rs 5. Going back into the winds of history this has been the capital city of British Raj until 1911 thereafter the capital was moved to Delhi. The East India Company established its operations in the year 1600’s. It has now become a center of amalgamation of cultures, literature and much more…..   Durga Puja Festival   Why this!! Most of us have already known this piece of information since a long period of time but at times we need to stop and admire the glimpses it has to offer in terms of food, architecture to the literary insights. What surprises even more it is easier to start conversing with a stranger and they become friends e...

An opinion on Book : P.S I love You

Feelings are quite hard to explain and moreover to interpret at different points of time. Death is another strange reality which we fear to accept and move along. We want to be like a butterfly who wants to remain in our own beautiful world with our comforts. But there are more dangers that lie ahead that can break the walls of happiness that we create around us.  P.S I love you is a beautiful story written by Cecelia Ahern.  A story about a girl Holly who is married to Gerry and has a perfect life a man she loves, friends and a great family with sisters and brothers to brighten up her life . Reality strikes hard when she is faced with the bitter truth of her husband brain tumor. World just came crashing down and had threatened the very walls she had build based on love and trust. Holly was just 30 year old when Gerry died . She had given up on her life living up in a shell trying to relive every moment she had passed with her husband. On her 30th birthday she gets...

NOSTRADAMUS: THE GIFT OF SEEING THE FUTURE STRANGE BUT TRUE!! ☺

Image
Michel de Nostradamus is a legend in the world of Prophecies. His prophecies have been made 100 years before the original occurring. Quite Interesting Strange but true!!! “ In the year of the new century and nine months, From the sky will come a great King of Terror The sky will burn at forty-five degrees Fire approaches the great new city…” This has been one of the closest prophecies ever made in the history. This refers to the twin tower attack in USA by Osama Bin Laden the leader of the terror group. Although he predicted the year as 1999 he did mention further in the prophecies list the date calculation might be incorrect. “From the depths of the West of Europe A young child will be born of poor people, He who by his tongue will seduce a great troop; His fame will increase towards the realm of the East” This is another interesting prediction which pointed towards the birth of Hitler as he was born in 1889 in Western Europe to a poor fa...

Eyes behind the Veil that speaks thousand words- A tribute to every woman

Welcome to the world of Princess Princess as the name suggests would attract you to the world of riches, large number of followers , a big house and everything what she desires.  Ha!! You are surprised even I was when I had picked up this book. I was staring straight at the face which was on the cover and I could see just the eyes and the rest part covered by Veil It is  a story about Sultana Al Sa'ud, a princess in the royal house of Saudi Arabia. Those eyes can still can't be forgotten years after I had read the book.T he story is quite engrossing and talks about the spirit of Princess  how she fought back the injustice faced by her through her childhood , marriage etc. Girls married to guys bigger their age , Girls tortured for injustice that haven't committed but are victims of the same . She could afford anything but did it matter after the injustice she saw in front of her eyes.  The world could be synonymous with the golden cage where the aspi...

Rise of women against Dictatorship- A Tribute to Benazir Bhutto

With the recent furor that happened in Egypt dictatorship has always been an issue . Dictators have  ruled according to their whims and fancies but couldn’t cater to basic humanitarian principle. History has been marked with people like Hitler who have committed atrocities against Jews. My brush with the hard times that women undergo even in a new century was after reading a series of book by Jean Sasson - Princess A story of a Saudi Arabian girl who was born in royal household had every access to luxury foreign tours, but no access to her own wishes her freedom to think differently or forget even a chance to love. I won’t jump into the topic of love which has been turned into mockery with today’s relationship which fail to last but a new view into where getting love is the least priority but to remain free and to get basic human rights to help them live respectfully are the priorities. Princess throughout her life saw male counterpart getting more importance and female...

Kabaddi Match: Lets meet at the arena!! Aa jao Dam Dikhane!!!

Image
Kabaddi is one of the oldest sports of India.   It has been the national game of Bangladesh and Nepal. The game is a test of strength and unity. The game continues till the other team members oust the last player. The game tests ones mental, physical and interpersonal skills. The onus of one lies on other members hence the trust is the other key factor. The statistical programming languages are on the same fighting arena. Lets look around us we have R, Python, SPSS, SAS, Stata among many other. Which one is the best? 1)We have problem statement on which analysis needs to be done any language can be used to build up on the solution as the languages are a tool whereas logic remains same behind these. 2)R is a free open courseware whereas others are costly in terms of licensing costs. Meanwhile R has been used most freely SAS/Stata is more powerful to handle more statistical languages and techniques. 3)R being free is the most documented and used for the research and t...

There is a small concept that can be understood from the same: 1)    The ingredients are basically the data you have. The d...
